The Swimming Hex is a quick but no so easy pattern using basic materials. It can be tied unweighted, bead head or jig version depending on species, location and presentation. Frequently it is a good choice for targeting Steelhead, Trout, Smallmouth Bass, or Carp. Shown is steps for the giant hex nymph size but it can be scaled down for the many medium big hex species on down to Brown Drake Nymphs.
