Size #8 is a good size for egg flies in most Michigan streams under most conditions.  These Nuke Eggs are made with a sparse veil of the main color around a small "nucleus" of a bright contrasting color.  The bright inner nucleus shows through the outer color to emphasizes the translucent appearance.   Fish take these translucent color schemes very well.
