Bobs Bangers

Bob's Banger Original Bucktail version of Bob Popovics' great salt water popper pattern and a Marabou  Banger Variation that works well in fresh water. The key is the flashy prism tape over the head, Opal and standard Flashabou in the tail.   Pearl Ice Dub or Flashwing type maaterial in the waist makes a smooth minnow like silhouette a well tied Banger offers.  Bangers are a simple and durable tie.

The Dive Banger has a slanted front face that can make it dive sub surface.  It is most effective fished on the surface with a steady medium loud popping rhythm for Bass, Pike, Musky, Tarpon and Snook.  It has a different popping note and the quick short downward nod of the head shakes the tail material and flash that will close the deal.  Marabou Opal and standard Flashabou in 1/0 to 3/0 sizes. Flat Wing saddle and hollow tie Bucktail with all the flashabou for the Musky version.
