Popping Wedge

The Popping Wedge pattern has a downward slanting face that causes the head to dive about an inch on a short pop.  This shakes the Marabou and Flashabou tail materials as the head dips then quickly bobs back up to the surface.  The resulting turbulence keeps these soft tail feathers and flash in subtle motion even as the popper sets still.  The splay of rubber legs behind the head can represent gills and pulse and jiggle in a different way.

Fish this in a steady rhythmic repetition of quick short pops.  Or mix it up with very subtle twitches, resting pauses, short pops, and diving it under the surface on repeated longer pulls the letting it bob back to the surface as a floater-diver lure.

This popper is effective for bass, pike, Musky and various Saltwater ambush predators lurking along the mangroves.
