Metal Bead Chain Eyes make for good slow jig patterns for nymphs, leaches, minnow, etc. A quieter fall on the surface is less likely to spook a fish in shallow water.
Plastic Bead Chain adds distinctive eyes without excess unwanted added weight. They are good for better casting of large flies, stealthier presentations in shallow water, bottom bouncing steelhead patterns that should be near neutral buoyancy to not drag on the bottom.
