A few new bright fish have moved up river.  It makes sense for some of the dark fish that have held downstream for some time, to move up with them.  Not many angler an nothing happening until a skilled bobber fisherman arrived and quickly hooked 2 good fish above me and later got a small silver male.  He told me he got them on wigglers so I tied on a 1/48 ounce #6 Swim Hex Jig.  I finally got my depth right and got two hens.     This years fish are mostly big and fat with small heads.  When fish have been very successful feeding out in the lake, it makes them...

October 23, one for two for very hot steelhead on Yellow or Orange Candy Corn Glow Beads.  The smaller Steelhead was a very well fed, solid 21.5 inch male.  He was delicious.  I got 8 browns, most of them on white jigs. November  1, Slow tough day, I foul hooked a steelhead.. Late in the day two guys also using center pin tackle came in below me, one guy was quickly one for two on good steelhead that hit his brown jig with yellow head and yellow rubber legs.  I switched form beads to white jigs and started hitting browns quickly. ...

Basically zero Salmon in either spot.  Saw one dead King Salmon in PM Lake and foul hooked one salmon at Tippy.  Two Summer Steelhead were on stringers when I arrived, no more were hooked.  I got 2 rainbows, 13 and 8 inches on jigs under a float, #6 White Mopworm and #8 Brown Intruder Jig.  A couple Salmon broke the surface.

On the end of the pier several guys were casting spoons, plugs, jigs or fishing minnows.  They caught or hooked a couple of smallmouth, one guy caught a very long Sheephead that was in extremely bad health due to age, disease or maybe having been gut hooked some time ago.  I caught an stout 18 inch bass and lost a smaller one.  4 to 6 foot swells were rolling in and bouncing back and forth between the two pier heads making for a very action packed bobber presentation.  The fish came to a #6 White Mopworm Jig set to 11 feet...

Lots of big and small Salmon jumping at Tippy Dam above the coffer on Sept 27:  I saw a 6 pound and a 17 inch Brown caught.  Below the coffer, I got two 14 inch Browns and lost a bright 6 lb bright Coho or Steelhead on 10mm Yellow Spot on Painted Glo-Beads,  Above the coffer, I also fair hooked a big salmon and caught an 11 inch rainbow on a new Brown Balanced jig tie.  I was fishing not so deep under the bobber and only foul hooked one salmon.  A Balance jig will hang horizontally and drift and jig naturally under...
